Gene Gross graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation from the CFA Institute. Gene is in charge of investment and economic research as well as portfolio construction for Cygnus and leads the Investment Committee.

Gene began his career in the financial services industry at Victory Capital in Cleveland, Ohio in 2012. In 2015 he moved to Charlotte and spent four years with Biltmore Family Office. At Biltmore, Gene began as an analyst before being promoted to portfolio manager. Gene joined Cygnus in the summer of 2019.

In his free time, Gene enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren, with whom he reluctantly hikes, walks and exercises. He is the proud owner of two dogs: Seymour, a black lab, and Goodwin, a Wheaten Terrier. Gene is also an avid potter whose art is featured in our office.
